והוה מן בתר כדין ומחא דוד ית פלשתאי ואכניעונין ודבר ית גת וית כפרנהא מן יד פלשתאי:
plshthay yd mn kprnha wyth gth yth wdbr waknyewnyn plshthay yth dwd wmkha kdyn bthr mn whwh
After this, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

ומחא ית מואבאי והוו מואבאי לעבדין לדוד נטלי פרס מקרבי דורון:
dwrwn mqrby prs nTly ldwd lebdyn mwabay whww mwabay yth wmkha
He defeated Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.

ומחא דוד ית הדרעזר מלכא דצובה בחמת כד אזל לאקמא תחומיה בנהר פרת:
prth bnhr thkhwmyh laqma azl kd bkhmth dtswbh mlka hdrezr yth dwd wmkha
David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah, toward Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

ואחד דוד מניה אלף רתיכין ושבעת אלפין פרשין ועשרין אלפין גוברין רגלאין ועקר דוד ית כל רתיכיא ושיר מנהון מאה רתיכין:
rthykyn mah mnhwn wshyr rthykya kl yth dwd weqr rglayn gwbryn alpyn weshryn prshyn alpyn wshbeth rthykyn alp mnyh dwd wakhd
David took from him one thousand chariots, seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them enough for one hundred chariots.

ואתוי אנשי ארם דרמשק לסיעה להדרעזר מלכא דצובה וקטל דוד בארמאי עשרין ותרין אלפין גוברין:
gwbryn alpyn wthryn eshryn barmay dwd wqTl dtswbh mlka lhdrezr lsyeh drmshq arm anshy wathwy
When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty-two thousand men of the Syrians.

ומני דוד אסטרדיוטין בארם דרמשק והוו ארמאי לדוד עבדין נטלי פרס מסקי מסין ופרק יי לדוד בכל אתר די הליך:
hlyk dy athr bkl ldwd yy wprq msyn msqy prs nTly ebdyn ldwd armay whww drmshq barm asTrdywTyn dwd wmny
Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

ונסיב דוד ית תריסי דהבא דהוו על עבדי הדרעזר ואיתיאונון לירושלם:
lyrwshlm waythyawnwn hdrezr ebdy el dhww dhba thrysy yth dwd wnsyb
David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

ומן טבחת ומן כון קרוי הדרעזר נסיב דוד נחשא סגי לחדא מניה עבד שלמה ית ימא דנחשא וית עמודיא וית מאני דנחשא:
dnkhsha many wyth emwdya wyth dnkhsha yma yth shlmh ebd mnyh lkhda sgy nkhsha dwd nsyb hdrezr qrwy kwn wmn Tbkhth wmn
From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.

ושמע תועו מלכא דאנטוכיא ארום קטל דוד ית כל משרית מלכא דצובה:
dtswbh mlka mshryth kl yth dwd qTl arwm danTwkya mlka thwew wshme
When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

ושדר ית הדורם בריה לות מלכא דוד למשיל ליה בשלם ולברכותיה מן בגלל דאגיח קרבא בהדרעזר וקטליה ארום גבר עביד קרבין עם תועו הוה הדרעזר וכל מאני דהבא וכספא ונחשא דשדר ליה:
lyh dshdr wnkhsha wkspa dhba many wkl hdrezr hwh thwew em qrbyn ebyd gbr arwm wqTlyh bhdrezr qrba dagykh bgll mn wlbrkwthyh bshlm lyh lmshyl dwd mlka lwth bryh hdwrm yth wshdr
he sent Hadoram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou); and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.

אוף הנון אקדיש מלכא דוד קדם יי עם כספא ודהבא די שבא מכל עממיא מן אדום ומן מואב ומבני עמון ומן פלשתאי ומעמלקאי:
wmemlqay plshthay wmn emwn wmbny mwab wmn adwm mn emmya mkl shba dy wdhba kspa em yy qdm dwd mlka aqdysh hnwn awp
King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations: from Edom, from Moab, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

ואבישי בר צרויה קטל ית אדומאי בחילת מלח תמניסר אלפין:
alpyn thmnysr mlkh bkhylth adwmay yth qTl tsrwyh br wabyshy
Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck eighteen thousand of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

ומני באדום אסטרטיוטין והוו כל אדומאי עבדין לדוד ופרק יי ית דוד בכל אתר די הליך:
hlyk dy athr bkl dwd yth yy wprq ldwd ebdyn adwmay kl whww asTrTywTyn badwm wmny
He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

ומלך דוד על כל ישראל והוה עבד דין וקשוט לכל עמיה:
emyh lkl wqshwT dyn ebd whwh yshral kl el dwd wmlk
David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness for all his people.
15
ויואב בר צרויה ממנא על חילא ויהושפט בר אחילוד ממנא דכרניה:
dkrnyh mmna akhylwd br wyhwshpT khyla el mmna tsrwyh br wywab
Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

וצדוק בר אחיטוב ואחימלך בר אביתר סגני כהונתא רבתא ושושא ספרא:
spra wshwsha rbtha khwntha sgny abythr br wakhymlk akhyTwb br wtsdwq
Zadok the son of Ahitub and Abimelech the son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was scribe;

ובניהו בר יהוידע ממנא על סנדרי רבתא ועל סנדרי זוטא והוה שאיל באוריא ותמיא ועל מימר פומיה הוון קשתיא וקלעיא לקרבא ובני דוד יתבין בקדמיתא למטרא דמלכא:
dmlka lmTra bqdmytha ythbyn dwd wbny lqrba wqleya qshthya hwwn pwmyh mymr wel wthmya bawrya shayl whwh zwTa sndry wel rbtha sndry el mmna yhwyde br wbnyhw
and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief officials serving the king.
